about your instructor
Natalie Greenroyd lives in Oklahoma with her two rambunctious boys, firefighting husband and lunatic Vizsla, Penny. She’s mildly obsessed with capturing the everyday of her family and loves to do so in unique and creative ways. Educating and photography have long been two of her passions, so combining the two has been a dream come true. Photographing her family is where her heart lies, but helping emerging artists find their creative voice is a close second.
how it works

Full Participation students engage in an interactive online classroom experience that includes instructor-led group discussions and detailed, personalized guidance for the duration of the workshop. Full participation students post their assignments in the workshop and receive critique each week.

Study Along students have access to all materials and are able to view all content and conversation in the main workshop. Study along students will not be able to ask the instructor questions or request instructor feedback on their assignments, but they can follow along with instructor critiques of the Full Participation assignments.
This was the first Click Photo School workshop where I participated and I was so happy I did that. I signed up because I wanted to start building a strong portfolio of my personal work. Natalie’s tutorial videos and PDFs were excellent and covered a lot of material which I hope to review and practice afterwards. Her video critique to my assignments was so valuable – extremely helpful in terms of both technical and creative elements. I also felt she sincerely cared and put in the time in connecting and guiding all of us in the class and I felt very comfortable asking her all sorts of questions. The two week duration was perfect for me in terms of making sure I allocated enough time to focus on the course. I highly recommend this course!
I loved this class. This is the workshop that I needed to boost my creativity and pick up the camera again. As a full participation student, Natalie’s critiques were insightful and super helpful. The PDFs are filled with so many great ideas to boost your creativity. I highly recommend this workshop.
Thank you Anik! I loved having you in class and I’m so glad it was just what you needed to boost your creativity!
I just finished up this class. The two weeks flew by! It was just what I needed to get my creative juices flowing. Natalie’s PDFs are filled with gorgeous images and so many great ideas to inspire being creative. I also enjoyed her videos. She is very clear and responsive and active in the class on a daily basis. Her video critiques were some of the most thorough I have ever seen. If you are looking for a quick but content filled two weeks to get your creativity recharged I highly recommend the class!
Thank you so much Melissa! It was such a pleasure having you in class!
Hi Natalie!
Do you offer pet, still life or nature options in this workshop or does it mainly cover people/children?
H Wendy! I’m so sorry I didn’t see this sooner! Most of the example images in the PDF are images of my young boys, but the concepts we go over can really be applied to any type of shooting. I’d love to have you join us in the next run!
I don’t have any children in the house. Are there other shoot options?
Hi Carol! I’m so sorry I didn’t see this sooner! I definitely shoot with my young boys most of the time, but the concepts we learn about can be applied to any type of shooting! I’d love to have you join us in the next run!
Hi, I was wondering if there are any prereqs or required equipment or software for this workshop?
Hi there! Just a camera, and that’s it! It would be helpful if you had some basic photography knowledge like how to shoot in manual, but I do include a photography glossary for those who may not being totally familiar with the basics. There is as small section on editing where I use a combination of Lightroom and Photoshop. If you don’t have those programs, Adobe usually does free trials, so you could look into that. Let me know if you have any other questions!
Hey there! First, thank you for offering this class, I’m intrigued! One quick question, is there a set time for the daily Q&A in the full participation? I want to do that one but would need understand this one part better.
Appreciate it!
Melody
Hi! Thanks for your interest! No set times! Any questions you have during the two weeks, you just post them when you can in the class forum and I will pop in several times a day to answer questions, critique assignments etc. The only thing that may be scheduled at a certain time will be a welcome zoom call if enough people want to do that. But that would be totally optional. Hope you can join us! ❤️
