Nivea Walker is a mom, occupational therapist, and emotional filmmaker based in Richmond, Virginia. Being her family’s storyteller through filmmaking has become one of her favorite ways of expressing love and bottling up memories. She loves to document the everyday, real moments in life and she finds beauty in imperfection. Three of her favorite things: movie night with the family, trying out different restaurants, and travel.
Such a great course that breaks down the seemingly daunting and overwhelming process of making a film. Super inspiring and so many great tips and ideas for ways to approach filming and capturing those precious moments and sounds that we never want to forget!

This is such an amazing breakout. Nivea has put so much thought and heart into her PDF and videos. She covers every aspect of making movies for your family that are not only memorable but feel cinematic. You can even easily go back and use clips of old videos to make a whole new movie of a family trip or special day. I wish CPS would make a full course on this subject because Nivea is such a great teacher and I feel like there is so much more I could learn form her. Highly recommend this breakout!

I have really wanted to start making home movies for a while now, but for some reason have been so afraid to try! Nivea breaks down the process into small parts including the gear you need, how to shoot, and how to edit your films. It is packed full of detailed and helpful information, and has shown me that making beautiful home movies is not the overwhelming, daunting process I imagined it would be!! This breakout is well worth the price and is one that I will go back to again and again. Nivea is an open book about her process and I have no doubt I will be able to create something meaningful for my family! Don’t hesitate to jump into this breakout if making beautiful movies has ever been on your list of things you’d love to do :)

I can’t say enough positive things about this beautiful breakout. Nivea’s passion for filmmaking is evident throughout the breakout and she is incredibly generous with sharing her creative process and how she captures the love and magic in her films. I’ve dabbled in making films in the past but I felt overwhelmed with the technical aspects of it all but Nivea’s thorough approach to teaching has made me realize that I can make beautiful films and create the ultimate keepsakes for myself and my family. Her ebook is filled with gorgeous imagery and showcases her intensive knowledge for creating films. Exactly what I needed. I’m a photographer who has always flirted with the idea of filmmaking. I used to think that making videos was too tedious and overwhelming, but Nivea’s breakout seriously breaks down the process to make it simple for ANYONE to do. Her precious little videos of her own children is incredibly inspiring giving me this sense of urgency to grab the camera and start filming my own kids TODAY. Her eBook is beautiful and simple to follow filling you with confidence that you can start creating meaningful films with the equipment you already have on hand. Highly recommend!
