about Click Photo School

THE BASICS

How do Click Photo School classes work?

Click Photo School offers a 100% online classroom experience for both our workshops and self-paced courses (more details on the difference between them in the next section!). Once you sign up, you have access to a virtual classroom that is open 24 hours a day for a specified period so that you can progress through the materials and join in discussions on your own schedule.

All class materials can also be downloaded or saved to your hard drive for your personal reference, including PDFs, videos, critiques, and any additional content you may wish to copy from classroom discussions.

What's the difference between a workshop and a self-paced courses?

Click Photo School workshops are multi-week, interactive classroom experiences. Each week students receive a set of course materials (if you are taking a four week course, for example, you will receive four sets of materials). Materials for the first week of instruction will be available on the start date of the workshop.Throughout the week, instructors are present in the virtual classroom every day to answer questions and offer encouragement. Students receive an assignment each week that pertains to the topics covered in the course materials and class discussion throughout the week. Full participation students receive instructor feedback on every assignment and personalized guidance to acquire the covered skills. Workshop classrooms are open for eight weeks from the start date, although the materials are yours to keep forever.

Self-paced courses, on the other hand, consist of one set of materials. In the self-paced virtual classroom, participants can start discussions, share photographs, and interact with other self-paced participants. Occasionally, the self-paced presenter will also join in the discussions as well, although the interaction between participants and presenters is limited. Self-paced courses are open for one year from when you purchase, although the materials are downloadable and yours to keep forever.

I'd love to gift a class to a friend! Do you offer gift certificates?

We do! You can purchase a Click Photo School gift voucher here.

Help! I've registered, but I don't know where to find my class.

You can see all of your current and upcoming workshops by clicking MY CLASSES in the menu bar above (or just click right here to log in and access your workshops!).

Is a membership required to take Click Photo School classes?

Nope! No membership is required to participate in our programming. All Click Photo School workshops and self-paced courses are open to everyone!

I don’t live in the United States. Can I still join?

Absolutely! While we are a US-based company, our members are located all across the globe, and our on-demand virtual classrooms make it easy to participate no matter where in the world you’re located.

I changed my mind and want to switch into a different class. Can I transfer or trade seats with a friend?

Sorry! Registration is nontransferable, nonrefundable, and valid only for the specific Click Photo School program(s) that you signed up for.

Do you offer closed captioning?

Click Photo School wants to make sure that all students have equal access to our programming and is here to assist in the process. Please complete this Closed Caption Request Form for each course for which you are registered (or for which you plan to register). Once a Closed Caption request is accepted, captioning services can take up to two weeks. Services do not commence until the requesting student registers for the class.

If you have a request for captioning that is unrelated to medical accommodation, we would be happy to help you identify a suitable course for which captions are already available. Please note that our courses are only available in English at this time. If you have any additional questions, please submit a standard support ticket to support@clickandcompany.com.

WORKSHOPS

How do Click Photo School workshops work?

Click Photo School workshops are a 100% online classroom experience. Once you register, you have access to a workshop classroom that is open 24 hours a day so that you can learn and join discussions on your own schedule.

A new set of course materials (typically a combination of videos and written lessons) is provided each week, and all class content is organized into simple steps as part of a clear, self-guided pathway so that you can check off each interactive step as you go.

Over the duration of the workshop, you can chat and share photos with your fellow students, and instructors are present in your classroom every day to offer encouragement and answer questions. Students will also complete an assignment each week that pertains to the content they’ve studied.

What is the difference between a Full Participation seat and a Study Along seat?

Full Participation students engage in an interactive online classroom experience that includes instructor-led group discussions and detailed, personalized guidance for the duration of the workshop. Full participation students post their assignments in the classroom and receive instructor critiques each week.

Study Along students have access to all materials and are able to view all content, conversation, and critiques in the main workshop classroom. Study along students will not be able to ask the instructor questions or request instructor feedback on their individual assignments.

Whether you are a Full Participation student or a Study Along student, the course materials are yours to download and keep.

How long will I have access to the workshop?

You’ll have access to your workshop’s virtual classroom for one year after purchase. Don’t forget to download everything you need prior to that date.

The workshop I'd like to take starts in a few months. When can I sign up?

You can sign up to receive a notification when the workshop opens by using the “EMAIL WHEN REGISTRATION OPENS” button on the course page.

We also offer an early registration benefit exclusively to Click Community Lifetime Members; as a Lifetime Member, you can register four days earlier (on the preceding Thursday!).

How long will I have access to the workshop materials?

A personal copy of the workshop materials, including PDFs, videos, critiques, and any other content you may wish to copy from the workshop classroom, is yours to keep indefinitely. You will have access to the workshop classroom for one year after purchase, so be sure to download whatever you may need during that time.

Do I have to be online at a certain time of day?

Our workshops are set up so that you can participate when it’s convenient for you. You’ll download the course materials each week– you can read through them (or watch) at your leisure. You’ll have 24-hour access to the classroom, so you can post your questions and photographs at any time of day and then check back for the instructor’s answers. If you are a full participation student, you’ll post weekly assignments for instructor feedback.

SELF-PACED COURSES

How do self-paced courses work?

Click Photo School self-paced courses generally include both educational or demonstration videos and written content, although you can find the specifics of exactly what’s included in each course’s program description.

The self-paced course opened a few days ago. If I sign up now can I catch up?

You haven’t missed a thing! As soon as you sign up you’ll get instant access to the self-paced course materials. You may find that other self-paced participants are posting questions and photographs in the self-paced classroom, and you can jump right into conversations, progress through the self-paced content during the classroom period, as well as download a personal copy of everything to study or review on your own afterwards.

Is the self-paced course a live event? Do I have to be online at a certain time of day?

When you sign up for any self-paced course, you get instant access to the course materials, and all class content is organized into simple steps as part of a clear, self-guided pathway inside your private online classroom.

Additionally, anytime we release a new course, we kick things off with a 2-3 week Q&A launch event during which students can interact with the instructor and ask questions for potential inclusion in a recorded Q&A video. Courses with current or upcoming Q&A launch events are clearly marked in the Course Catalog.

As a self-paced course student, you will get a minimum of one year of access to the hosted materials. In addition, all content is downloadable, so you can keep a personal copy of the materials to review or refer to again at any time.
