I found Kristin’s course on Storytelling to be so enjoyable! It was so much fun to look through her images in the PDF and watch the videos. She consistently had a wonderful use of light and her images were thought-provoking, with many of them bringing a smile to my face! I’d recommend this course for anyone looking to mark those moments in your everyday life with your children. Kristin showed beautiful images as examples on framing, shutter speed, and finding those storytelling details.

  2. Christina Tribble

This has been the BEST breakout/self paced course I have ever taken. There is so much material in here it will definitely take not just your photography skills but editing skills to the next level. She covers so much I can’t imagine what a guided workshop would be like. Kristen if you create a guided workshop I would sign up in a heart beat. Thank you so much for taking the time to create such a strong and powerful course. It was truly impactful!

Christina, thank you so much for such a wonderful review! I am so glad you enjoyed the course and found the material helpful. It was such an amazing opportunity to partner with Click Photo School to teach my approach. Thanks for joining me!

  3. I took the course to learn more about storytelling. The pdf is filled with beautiful photos and so much helpful content that can be applied to any type of photography. I’ve already read it three times and know I will be referring to it often. The videos are also filled with so much information on Kristin’s process, culling and editing. As someone that doesn’t have kids and rarely shoots photos of people, I would recommend this course to anyone.

    1. Kristin Vukcevic

Kerri, thank you so much for the kind words! I am so glad that I was still able to teach the storytelling process in a way that you could use it, even with not having children and people as subjects. I have really enjoyed seeing the work you are sharing on the forum. Thank you for joining me!

  4. I needed inspiration to pick up my camera again, so this breakout was offered at the perfect time! 6. I only started the course last week, so haven’t worked my way through all of the videos just yet, but I am really enjoying what I’ve done so far! The PDF e-book in itself is awesome, its really well structured and full of inspiring images, tons of helpful tips and information on such as composition, lighting and color in storytelling. The videos so far have been clear and easy to follow! Highly recommend!

  7. This is a good course for people who have pretty good manual camera mastery but want to get better at creating storytelling images. The PDF e-book is full of gorgeous, inspiring images, and has lots of great compositional tips. Her shooting videos show that even with small kids who don’t always do exactly what you had in mind, you can capture real life moments that are beautiful. I appreciated learning about her use of supplemental lighting even in “natural light” scenarios because that isn’t something I’m currently doing, but seeing the way she used it was really helpful. The editing videos were helpful as well. I’m very comfortable in Lightroom but I learned a thing or two!

    1. Kristin Vukcevic

  16. Storytelling is one of my favorite aspects of photography. Kristin does a great job of breaking down so many different aspects of how to go about taking true storytelling photographs. I also simply love seeing her images throughout the pdf in the breakout. Every image I see is so good and truly inspiring!! I appreciate Kristin taking the time to make this, and so many simple suggestions for how to make stronger images for the everyday Mom (or Dad or whoever). I’m saying all of this and I haven’t even made it beyond the pdf yet, so I can only image how awesome and helpful the videos are about to be!

  17. I always run behind in the classes I sign up for, but photos tell so much. as the quote goes a photo is worth a thousand words (at least!!). I love the posts by my fellow students to keep me in line with the classes progression, I learn and WILL WILL apply. Kristin interacts with us too. The course gives easy tips to follow and her examples help to clarify if you can’t follow directions to improve your photos. SO WORTH IT.

  18. I am loving this course by Kristin! It is packed full of so many gems on how to add more storytelling to your photography- something I’ve been wanting to work on for a very long time! 19. Can Kristin teach an old dog new tricks?! Yep, I’m certain she can. I’ve just started scratching the surface of her class and can see I’ve been stuck in a creative rut for a while.

I’ve been shooting since the Jurassic Age, film and slides! I graduated to digital when it came along, but have only used the basic Photoshop technics and haven’t given Lightroom a chance. So I can see an added bonus, learning more about those programs in this class. My photography interests have been mostly cars and boats.

However, I now have four grandsons and plan on using these tips and techniques to tell their story.

    1. Kristin Vukcevic

Thank you so much for the positive feedback. I’m so glad you are giving Lightroom a try. It really is a great program and fairly easy to use once you get the hang of it! Thanks for joining me and enjoy capturing your grandsons. You will be so happy you did!

  20. I was first drawn to Kristin’s course because I want to become a better storyteller in my everyday shooting. I also love seeing her work on instagram and her use of storytelling in her vibrant images and knew I wanted to learn from her! All of the editing videos are hand edited which is nice to see how she processes the images without using presets that you may or may not have. The shooting videos were helpful in seeing everyday scenarios with her kids and how she could get fun and interesting pictures of her kids with just a little bit of planning- this was particularly encouraging with having young kids of my own. I love how she broke down in the course in many helpful and thorough videos and didn’t leave no stone unturned. I’m looking forward to going through the exercises in the pdf and am inspired to shoot!

    1. Kristin Vukcevic

  28. What a great course on storytelling! It’s a MUST if you have kids. What I love is that Kristin makes storytelling simple. She makes it feel do-able! It doesn’t have to be rocket science. She so clearly breaks down the elements of storytelling and composition. I also love seeing her process in her shooting, culling, and editing video. She offers great tips (like what aperture to use when shooting from above and how to correct color casts). And she shoots in a variety of lighting conditions. I had many “ah-ha” moments. It’s also very relatable to see that her kids bounce off the furniture too, LOL. I know I will return to this course material again and again.

    1. Kristin Vukcevic

Kristin does a wonderful job explaining how each choice can impact the story you are trying to tell so that you can compose the best storytelling image possible. I appreciate that she showed that you can create beautiful storytelling images no matter what gear you have. If you’re looking to tell better stories with your photos, I highly recommend this course.

  30. As a busy mom of three kiddos I found this course equally helpful and inspiring! There is a ton of great information but not so much that diving in feels overwhelming. I lean toward portrait photography and am always waiting for the perfect light to start shooting.
