Tarah Sweeney is a self-taught professional and successful portrait and wedding photographer in San Diego, CA. She is first and foremost a wife and mother to three little ones and she spends her days photographing their daily adventures.
Tarah Sweeney’s images are always swoon-worthy so I was super excited to take this self-paced course. And it did not disappoint! It’s packed full of amazing tips to bring the best out of your images. The all-video format is great for learning editing techniques, especially if you are a visual learner as I am. I am looking forward to exploring ACR more now after taking this course. If you want to take your images to the next level in post-processing this is the course for you!
Wow this self-paced course is really so good! I am a visual learner so it helps me a lot to be able to see the step by step process in the video. I couldn’t believe how many different edits Tarah shared with us including the GoPro edits! It is for sure hard to keep my GoPro shots super consistent so I have loved watching Tarah sharing her secrets!
Can you tell me where to purchase her other presets?
Hello! I’ve only watched one video so far and I absolutely loved it! I’m a lightroom girl but I followed along and tried ACR. It was amazing! One question… is there anywhere to download the boom actions for the latest version of photoshop? I couldn’t install the actions that came with my purchase.

This breakout is the bomb!! I think I am a Tarah junkie by now and I wasn’t sure if I would get much new information with this breakout but wow! I learned so many little tricks to save major time in editing. I for sure recommend this breakout to anyone who wants to streamline their editing. The actions she provides are great too. How did I ever live without BAM? Thank you Tarah for yet another treasure trove of information!
I’m so happy I took that chance for this breakout – which helped as an eyeopener in lot’s of editing approaches.
Tarah provides so much information and I love especially her capture and commenting on her edit process with different images, beginning with the SOOC and leading to the final result. Her comments help excellently and in a short time you need to invest to understand major adjustments and the reasons on why images “wow”. She advises a lot on the difference between light in taking the picture and boom’effect in post processing – which is clue and makes the difference. Very much appreciated!
I’ve loved the conversation aside the BO, which levels up the benefit of this class, however I hope the BO will be available for others in the shop later and recommend to even work trough the material offered.

Once again Tarah has gone above and beyond to share her secrets. She keeps things simple, includes lots of surprising extras and provides plenty of actionable tips and inspiration. Even if you’ve taken her other workshops in the past there is still more to be learnt here. I was particularly keen to see how Tarah edits her Go-Pro images as this is something I struggle to get consistency with. I gleaned heaps of ideas for this, and I can see that her Go Pro presets are going to be a timesaver. Thanks for pouring your heart and soul into this one Tarah.
This breakout has so much amazing information!! It was easy to move through the videos at my own pace, and I have completely transformed my workflow because of Tarah’s information!! My editing time has been cut down tremendously which was one of my main goals!! This is absolutely worth every penny. I was a LR user, but I think she has permanently converted me to ACR…mainly for workflow, but I do agree that it is basically the same! Highly recommend!!

This is the second course that I’ve taken from Tarah. I did end up purchasing Tarah’s presets, but they are more than worth it in my opinion. They help with processing beautiful images of my own kiddos, and they are a huge time saver.
Even if you didn’t purchase the presets, I would highly recommend this course. Tarah also shows you how she edits without presets. I appreciated learning both new ways and more efficient ways to process images with consistency. The videos are easy to follow, and Tarah is quick to answer any questions and give feedback. I will continue taking any breakouts offered by Tarah – she is an amazing photographer and an incredible teacher. Thank you Tarah!
Absolutely LOVE this break out! Love Tarah’s editing style and got great inspiration from her videos. I applied some of the editing tips on some of my own photos and it has made such a difference. I love those photos so much more now. Tarah’s bubbly personality also makes it a breeze and a joy to follow the editing videos.

Highly recommend taking ANY AND ALL courses that Tarah teaches or has anything to do with. She shares everything with her whole heart. :)
I have taken all of Tarah’s courses and she is an AMAZING educator. She keeps it real, shares EVERYTHING, and is truly one of the most genuine, loving, spunky, and hilarious creatures on this earth. I feel so blessed to have crossed paths with her through a mutual friend and now to be able to follow her work from across the country and better yet- LEARN FROM HER! I can’t speak highly enough of this breakout. I totally finished watching the videos in a day- but you can go at your OWN pace, take your time, watch, re-watch, and you will learn so much. This isn’t just for photographers who are familiar with ACR/PS. LR users YOU WILL BENEFIT from this course. I personally use ACR, but I have used LR and all the same tools apply. Tarah gets to the ROOT of what she’s teaching. She doesn’t just slap an image in ACR and go through the motions. Even though this isn’t technically a course about light- she talks about light. She makes sure that we are aware of the situation, the light, the settings etc. so you can TRULY see how presets are meant to be used and tweaked etc.
If you’re on the fence- just sign up. I promise you won’t be disappointed!!
Tarah’s breakout is nothing short of incredible! She dives into her entire process and it’s a steal! So many editing tips in the videos and she even provides actions that you can use in your own editing process. It’s a great breakout for beginners as well as seasoned artists. Run don’t walk to grab this one… you will not regret it!
I previously took Tarah’s two workshops, The Illuminated View and In the Zone, and was completely blown away by the content and the amount of information she shares. So, I was on the fence about taking this breakout since I was not sure how much more she could give up. Well, I have to say, I cannot count the amount of times I said, “WHHAAAT??” out loud while watching her videos and having something blow my mind! Her editing tips are perfection, her presets (I bought her set) are amazing and she is so giving of information when it comes to making your editing process easier that my life has changed. Seriously…I spend so much less time editing and get better results! I was also so excited to get her actions she uses in Photoshop. They are fantastic! I highly recommend this breakout! It is worth every penny!

Hi Tara, your breakout looks fab! I’m a newbie and only have PS Elements (includes ACR I believe). I’m looking into getting LR but dont have it yet. Do you think your course would apply/benefit me?
hmmm, im not sure!! I think you will still be able to absorb a ton of info and that a lot of the sliders are present in all programs.
Is it $50 for the actions, presets, and editing videos?!
hi Jessica! It is!! The presets are my 4 GoPro presets that I include in my personal set of presets for sale. The entire set isn’t included, just the 4 GoPro ones :)
Would this class be ok for someone who knows nothing about PS, but is fluent in LR? I have not found time to take a PS course yet, but would LOVE to hone my editing skills and flow.

Hi Rebecca and Angela! :) Yes, 90% Of my editing is in ACR, not PS – and ACR sliders and user interface offer the same adjustments :)
