A Daily Occurrence: Creative Everyday Photography

I've never been so inspired to grab my camera and get creative!! I've been a full-time wedding photographer for the past four years and it's easy to start seeing your gear as just gear and only pulling it out when you need to work. After seeing the preview for this class I knew this was the one for me and sure enough, Ashley hit the nail on the head. There is such a deep honestly about how Ashely convey's what she does and how she goes about doing it that you're reminding why you were doing this all in the first place. For the love of it, and it's okay to REALLY love what you do and have fun with it and be creative and know it's not always going to be perfect. But it's that love that radiates through your photos, even the not so perfect ones. I owe Ashely a huge thank you. I've been in a creative funk for an embarrassingly long time now and I can really see, the last 9 images I've taken since the class are so drastically different than what I'd been shooting, and yet so back to the roots of how I used to love to shoot. Thank you Ashely!! I can only hope there will be another class from you soon!

I am so glad I didn't miss out on the Breakout!! So many great ideas to keep one excited about picking up the camera. I have always wanted to do a 365 project but just felt so overwhelmed by the commitment. After going through the materials I'm ready and excited to take on the challenge. I'm a beginner and was a little worried this would be too advanced for me but after reading the PDF and watching the videos, I can safely say it is beginner friendly as well. I've been doing the 30 Days of Holiday Share and was struggling to come up with ideas for what to shoot since I don't have children and this breakout has helped me come up with ideas. I've also always been more drawn to bright and airy shots but I really love Ashley's moody shots and have started trying some of those as well. Her editing in the videos has really opened my eyes as what edits could be done with just Lightroom instead of having to go into Photoshop. Thank you Ashley!

After following Ashley for a while on IG and marvelling at every photo she posted, getting this breakout was a no-brainer!!
While i am more in to documentary and less it to lifestyle, you can't be a photographer and NOT learn something from this inspiration-packed breakout.
She definitely got me out of a creative rut halfway in to my 365 project.

When I first started learning about photography, I read that the best thing you could do for yourself was to complete a 365 project. As it turns out, it's a very challenging project! I was hoping this breakout would somehow help me with follow through. Obviously, 365 days haven't passed yet, but Ashley's approach definitely helps to see things from new angles, think outside the box and push the creative boundaries.

One of my favorite parts of breakouts is to get in the head (a little!) of my favorite photographers. So when I saw Ashley’s, I jumped immediately! And I am so glad I did! Ashley is so engaging and helpful. She is so giving with her creative process and supportive of those of us just starting out. I am a super visual learner and there are EIGHT videos!!! Do you want to watch her shoot? Done. Edit? Yes. Assemble and use her creative equipment? Bonus videos! Breakouts are such a fun and affordable way to learn some new tools for your toolbox. Go on! The moment I saw Ashley’s promo video for her “A Daily Occurrence” breakout, I had to have it. I love how she pours her heart and soul into her family, photography and creativity. She takes the everyday ordinary and makes it beautiful, creative and unique to her. I recently finished my first 365 project and was looking for more inspiration to continue another 365. This breakout couldn’t have come at a better time! Whether, you have been considering doing a 365 project or have been doing one for years, this breakiout is a must have!

I have just started this breakout so I'm a little late on the live run, but I'm already so excited and inspired to read how Ashley used each year of her 365 to improve on certain elements within her photography to really focus and learn the skills she needed. As someone who still has so much to learn and can often feel both overwhelmed whilst catching Comparison-itus a little TOO easily looking at so much amazing work out in the world, it's really helpful to read someones honest account of how they approached their photography and were able to improve on their own skill in their own way get to where they are now. Can't wait to get stuck into the rest and get cracking on my next 365 thanks Ashley!

I’m so so glad I found this breakout. It came at the perfect time. I’m half way through my 365 and feel a bit burnt out. I find it hard to get motivated and inspired, and I was worried that picking up the camera daily might become a chore. Not anymore! This breakout is so inspiring and really speaks to me. Ashley is so authentic and real, reading through the pdf is like listening to a pep talk from a good friend. I can’t wait to watch all the shooting and editing videos. It has also given me that push to finally start the p52 self portrait project, I've been mulling over for way too long. Thanks so much, Ashley!

This has been a great class. After doing this course I now feel inspired to attempt my first 365 Project. I loved Ashley's down to earth, practical manner... the videos were so informative, and to be able to see how she photographs and edits, and her thought processes while doing so is so encouraging. I LOVED this breakout. Can’t get enough of the realness (wiping Sophie’s boogie!). Practical and inspiring. Well organized and detailed. It’s been fun learning all of the tips and tricks and I’m super inspired. The biggest take away for me has been to relax and let the kids have fun. I’m usually super stressed trying to capture the idea I have in my head but the reality is the kids won’t have good memories that way. It’s been a huge lesson for me. We’re already having so much more fun. Just wanted to say thanks.

Ashley’s work drew me into this breakout! Her creative spin on everyday moments is exactly what I’ve been wanting to achieve. Her breakout is a great reminder that the sky is the limit when it comes to what you can try to show the beauty of your own everyday. She has lots of ideas of how to keep it fun for both you as the photographer and for your subject(s) as well. This is a great introduction to new photographers into creative shooting as well as for experienced photographers who might be stuck in a rut looking to step outside the box a bit.

This breakout woke me up out of a fog in such a beautiful way. I'm grateful to Ashley's vision for her photography and the reminder that art is all around us all the time! I was so excited when I saw that Ashley was releasing a course! I have followed her work for a long time on IG, and her 365 project has always been so inspiring and the raw candid images she captures are stunning. To see behind the scenes and how to go about setting up and shooting is so appreciated as someone just starting a photography business, Ashley very clearly explains her shots of why she is doing what she is doing to get the shot. There is so much content included in this breakout that it can be hard not to pause a segment to go pick up your camera to to get creative and you leave each segment with a fiery passion to start (or continue) a 365!

This is a fantastic breakout! Ashley is so authentic and genuine. I've learned more than I expected, and was immediately inspired to start trying new things with my photography. I've taken a number of breakouts, but I don't think any one has inspired and motivated me quite like A Daily Occurrence has.

What a great course! I read the entire course in one night and can not get enough of the videos! It has really inspired me to have fun with my kids while capturing them and our memories. It has given me such great ideas and sparked my creativity to push myself as an artist and photographer and may have inadvertently started my 365 project a bit earlier than I was planning.

I have purchased a few breakouts and they've all been good in their own way. But this one was special. I knew that I wanted to learn from Ashley the moment I saw that she was releasing a breakout. I think it's because I respond to her images so much and I just wanted to see what was happening behind the scenes. Even so, I didn't expect to feel so inspired by this breakout. I had a whole slew of "Ah-ha" moments throughout the course and I was really motivated to pick up my camera and try some creative techniques that I'd done before but that I'd put away for a long while (ie prisms ahem). Obviously, the amazing landscape that surrounds Ashley makes an appearance in quite a number of her images, but there were plenty of pullbacks that had me thinking "hey--I could do that even without living in that GORGEOUS place she lives in...I just need a bush!). It was inspiring. I was really transformed by the approach she takes with her kids to participate in her journey and in her projects and that she makes them a part of it. I am superbly excited to start a 365 project this year and to put more intention into it than I have in former years. I just can't say enough about this course.

I started my 365 at the beginning of the year and with life being crazy even though I have loved the project I wasn't sure if I would start a new one come 2020. I've only just started to dive into the material and already I'm inspired to continue one. Ashley is a lovely person and photographer. You can tell she has poured her heart and soul into this project. I'm feeling inspired and I can't wait to put what I'm learning into practice.

I was lucky to be able to take Ashley’s class at clickaway. This breakout goes way beyond what she covered at clickaway. I am finishing my second 365 and this breakout was just what I needed to stay inspired and keep going. I love all the creative techniques that she included.

So much inspiration, so many ideas, so many tips to make daily shooting a reality!! All of the content from the ebook to the videos is amazingly well-produced. I love how she narrates her videos so that we know what she is thinking and that she also shares the final images in the shooting videos so we can see how her vision turned out. Another plus is that Ashley has been so active in the forum--I can hardly wait for the Q&A video!!

Love love LOVED this breakout. I needed the extra push to jump start my 365 and I love the way Ashley keeps her pictures in a book. Her children will value these forever, and that was just about convicting enough for me to jump on board. She’s shows how easy it can be for you to get in pictures with your kids. She also shares ways to keep it interesting with using drone and underwater photography. Truly loved this breakout.

Ashley leads an incredible course. She is honest, real and inspiring. I started a daily photo project of my kids 2 years ago thanks to her and cannot thank her enough for that inspiration to start. These photo are everything to me. I can already see improvement in my images since completing the course!

This breakout is so inspiring! Ashley gives multiple ways to keep inspired throughout the year. Her shooting videos are AMAZING as she really lets you inside her head. I feel challenged to get back into the routine of shooting daily, taking creative shots, preserving memories for my family, and getting in the frame myself. Ashley shares how rewarding it is to look back on a year of photos, and that alone is enough to encourage me in my 365 project.

I can truthfully say this had me excited to take out my camera today to shoot our moments, and it's been awhile since I could say that. I can't wait to use the tools she gave me and to apply them to my own work.
I'm not sure there is anyone that does a 365 more creatively than Ashley, and it seems she doesn't ever post a mediocre image. Her breakout inspired me to yet again view my every day differently, to put myself out there to try new things, and her behind the scenes videos with tips and tricks were so helpful to see how she approaches how she shoots.
